English able to beat Ukraine 2-0 in action Euro 2024 qualification. Two goals from Tiga Singa came from Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka.
England host Ukraine in Group C Euro 2024 Qualification match at Wembley Stadium, Sunday (26/3/2023) evening WIB. The hosts led 2-0 in the first half.
Goals were born from Harry Kane in the 37th minute and Bukayo Saka in the 40th minute. After the break, no additional goals occurred.
Score 2-0 to England ended 90 minutes. This victory makes England at the top of Group C with six points. Meanwhile, Ukraine is in the lowest position with no points yet.
Course of the Match
Ukraine dared to offset England’s attacking game early in the first half. The visitors had a chance through Roman Yaremchuk who was free from offside. However, his shot on the right side of the penalty box was still wide.
England slowly began to dominate the match. Ukraine played more waiting to dampen the host.
The Three Lions had difficulty dismantling the opponent’s defense line. England was finally able to dismantle the visiting team’s defense in the 37th minute.
Bukayo Saka’s cross from the right could meet Harry Kane in front of goal. Kane’s play was then able to trick Anatolii Trubin.
England did not take long to score again. They made the second goal in the 40th minute.
Bukayo Saka fired a measured shot from outside the penalty box. His shot nestled into the right corner of the Ukrainian goal.
England were 2-0 up on the way down.
Gareth Southgate’s troops were still dominant after the break. James Maddison tried to threaten in the 51st minute. The shot has not yielded results because it has not met the target.
England lowered the tempo afterwards. This makes them not have many dangerous opportunities. Meanwhile, Ukraine is also still having trouble building attacks.
England presented another dangerous opportunity in the 87th minute. Ben Chilwell stabbed into the penalty box before releasing a pull bait.
The ball can be grabbed by his team-mate at Chelsea, Conor Gallagher. Gallagher shot but was brilliantly saved by Trubin.
