Women’s World Cup 2023: England, America and the Netherlands qualify
The competitions of the last round of the fourth and fifth groups of the 2023 Women’s World Cup witnessed, on Tuesday, 4 new teams qualify for the second round of the competitions, at a time when the English and Dutch teams hit hard and scored broad results.
In Group D, the England women’s team beat the Chinese women’s team and outperformed them (6-1), at a time when the Danish women’s team achieved an easy victory over Haiti with two clean goals, to qualify the English and Danish teams to the second round.
The England national team ended its journey in the group stage with 9 points, compared to 6 points for the runner-up Danish team, then the third Chinese team, which collected 3 points, and the Haiti national team in fourth place with zero points.
On the other hand, in Group E, the Netherlands women’s national team scored a wide victory by seven clean against the Vietnam women’s national team, while the American national team drew 0-0 with the Portuguese women’s national team, to qualify the first two teams to the next round, and they are among the most prominent competitors for the title in the 2023 edition.
With these two results, the Dutch team finished its journey in the group stage at the top with 7 points, while the US team qualified from the runner-up by collecting 5 points, compared to 4 points for the third-placed Portugal team, while the Vietnam team ranked fourth with zero points.
