The Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, discussed with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus, Shi Hongwei, ways to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, and mechanisms for advancing economic relations to the level of political and strategic relations that link Syria and China.
During the meeting, which took place today, the importance of Syria’s participation in the “Belt and Road Initiative”, increasing trade exchange and activating cooperation between the business sectors of the two countries to establish joint investment projects was emphasized.
Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of opening broader horizons for bilateral cooperation in all fields to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, and expressed appreciation and thanks for the role played by China through humanitarian, relief and medical aid provided to those affected by the earthquake, pointing to the importance of enhancing the participation of Chinese companies in the reconstruction in Syria and its dependable role in this field.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador stated that his country is following with interest developments in the situation in Syria, especially after the devastating earthquake, and it will continue to provide aid to those affected, as well as securing many housing units and contributing to the rehabilitation of infrastructure in the affected areas, in parallel with continuing to provide support to the internal transport sector by providing Syria with more supplies. from the buses.
