“The plane’s engine is on fire. My parents are on this flight. They are all fine.” The message tries to be soothing, but the video paired with the tweet is terrifying. One of the burning engines is filmed from inside the cabin of United Airlines Flight 328. The images are of a Boeing 777-200 that departed from Denver Airport, Colorado. The engine, according to initial information, caught fire shortly after takeoff. The plane, bound for Honolulu, returned to Denver and landed without incident. The engine problem has caused a real rain of mechanical parts: on Twitter, photos of the gardens of the houses in the Broomfield area invaded by enormous debris are depopulated.
