The 29-year-old from Engelskirchen has to answer before the Cologne district court since today. The prosecutor accuses him of serious sexual abuse of a then 13-year-old. His defense attorney, Rainer Schaefer, requested that his client be questioned in camera, using the protection of perpetrators and victims as arguments.

Andreas C. was arrested on July 7th and has been in custody in Cologne ever since. Four days of trial are scheduled for the trial and the verdict is expected on January 15th.
