Engelberg’s Sonnenberg Swimming Pool Renovation and Planning Updates

On November 22, 2022, the valley community approved a loan of CHF 1.7 million for the planning, replacement and renovation of the Sonnenberg swimming pool. In the meantime, the planning was advanced and the project organization worked out. The specialist planners from the fields of civil engineering, electrical engineering, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary or swimming pool technology are at work.

The municipal council has meanwhile approved the project manual. This regulates the goals, competencies and organization of the project. It provides for the following dates: preparation of the preliminary project by the end of August 2023, preparation of the construction project/cost estimate from August 2023 to February 2024, implementation planning and implementation from July 2024 to summer 2026, move into the new swimming pool in autumn 2026.
