Argentina became world champions for 2022, beating holders France on penalties in the final. Lionel Messi is a god and completed the holy trinity. Ballon d’Or Karim Benzema ended his international career, which was accompanied only by suffering. Viktoria Plzeň have attracted representative Matěj Vydra, Finnish midfielder from Sparta. Slavia have lost their playmaker Jiří Bílek.
Argentina has a new god
Argentina has a new national symbol and altar for families. His name is Lionel Messi. He completed the holy trinity that gave this South American country the title of soccer world champion: Mario Alberto Kempes (1978), Diego Armando Maradona (1986) and now Lionel Andrés Messi (2022).
The final against defending champion France brought a wonderful and dramatic show, its greatest personality was Kylian Mbappé: three goals, but Messi and his colleagues cheered. It was enough for them to better manage the spot shots, on which they fielded three nervously equipped players during extra time.
And Messi, in a fit of emotion, lets it be known that he is still postponing the expected end in the national team.
The sad fate of Benzema
Karim Benzema, Ballon d’Or 2022, announced his departure from the French national team for this reason Zinedine Zidane, Ballon d’Or and World Champion in 1998, declared him years ago the best French striker in history.
At club level (at Olympique Lyon and above all at Real Madrid) he has won many trophies, but in the national team he has missed them. Due to inappropriate behavior when he participated in blackmailing a teammate, he was suspended for a period and missed out on gold at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and silver at the 2016 EC on home soil.
He was injured when he was pardoned, but went to Qatar and managed to play in the final. However, manager Didier Deschamps did not accept him. He also took silver in this championship, although he is officially entitled to it as a member of the team. But a weak consolation.
His international career was very messed up.
Plzeň and Sparta strengthen the squad
Defending Czech champion Viktoria Plzeň is strengthening ahead of the spring matches, free representative Matěj Vydra, who was expected to strengthen the Czech enclave (Vladimír Darida and Jakub Brabec) in Greece’s Aris Soluň, and skilled shooter Roman Květ of Bohemians Praha.
According to Scandinavian media, Sparta Prague, who are third in the standings after the autumn season, will be strengthened by Finnish representative Kaan Kairinen, who joins from Norwegian Lilleström. Denmark coach Brian Priske knows where to look to improve his post-match wheel.
Slavia, on the other hand, weakens the leadership
On the contrary, Slavia Praha suffers a defeat, an official defeat. For trying to influence the ČFL B team match against reserve Příbram in 2019, playmaker Jiří Bílek was suspended for ten months and the club (will appeal) to pay a fine of 250,000 kroner.
Slavia Praha, as one of the few clubs, opposed the criminal organization headed by boss Roman Berber, and even voted against his election. Rebellion against authority of any kind is not condoned. Moreover, another dissident, Dukla Praha, is in the same situation, and her representative appeared before the ethics commission.
