Engadget reports that the Oppo Find X6 Pro features a periscopic camera and a 1-inch sensor.

Oppo recently released its latest smartphone, the Find X6 Pro, which boasts a 1-inch sensor and a periscopic camera. This unique feature set is intended to offer users unparalleled image quality, making it a potential game-changer in the smartphone photography world. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Find X6 Pro’s camera setup and how it compares to other leading smartphones on the market. Join us as we explore this exciting device and what it has to offer for avid smartphone photographers.

Last year, we were impressed by Oppo’s Find X5 Pro and have high hopes for its successor. The upcoming Find X6 Pro meets expectations for a flagship phone in 2023, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, Sony’s IMX989 “1-inch” sensor for the main camera, a 6.82-inch 3,168 x 1,440 AMOLED screen, a 5,000mAh battery, IP68 ruggedness rating, and up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Oppo also brought back a periscopic telephoto camera for the Find X6 Pro to enhance its photography partnership with Hasselblad and its MariSilicon X imaging neural processor.

The Find X6 Pro features a significant external redesign since the Find X3 Pro, with a large circular island housing the three rear cameras: all with a 50-megapixel resolution plus optical stabilization. The periscopic camera offers a 3x optical zoom (65mm equivalent) and a 6x “in-sensor” zoom, thanks to the relatively large Sony IMX890 sensor (1/1.56-inch). Alongside UItra-wide camera- which is the largest offering to date in this category- the Find X6 Pro also packs a freeform surface lens to minimize distortion.

Other notable features include Oppo’s new 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, which can charge the 5,000mAh battery from zero to 100-percent in just 28 minutes, and a 50W AirVOOC wireless charging option. Active Privacy Protection for Voice Calls enhances sound insulation and reduces audio leakage. Additionally, the Oppo Find X6 Pro has an infrared remote control to operate household appliances.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro will be available in China from March 24th, starting at 5,999 yuan or around $873 (12GB RAM with 256GB storage) to 6,999 yuan or about $1,018 (16GB RAM with 512GB storage). Oppo’s similar-looking but more affordable Find X6 model will also be available with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 and an IP64 ruggedness rating.

In conclusion, Oppo’s Find X6 Pro is truly a game-changing device in the world of smartphones. The incorporation of a 1-inch sensor and a periscopic camera is a bold move that will undoubtedly bring photography enthusiasts to the brand. The level of innovation and technology on display in this device is remarkable, and the speed at which Oppo is advancing within the industry is impressive. As always, we can expect to see even more exciting additions to their lineup in the near future. For now, users can revel in the stunning photos and videos they can capture with the Find X6 Pro’s impressive camera. All in all, Oppo has once again raised the bar for what can be achieved in a smartphone.
