Kochi> Enforcement Directorate (ED) is about to send another notice to ‘Marunadan Malayali’ online channel editor Shajan Skaria. The ED officials conducted a preliminary discussion in this regard. ED is preparing to send notice within a week. On June 29, the ED had sent a notice to Shajan Skaria to appear at the Kochi ED office under the Foreign Exchange Control Act (FEMA). Sent to Kottayam home address. However, Shajan, who was absconding, did not appear when the police registered a case on the complaint of PV Srinijin MLA that he was personally abusing him through fake news. The ED has asked Shajan to produce 10 years of income tax payments and balance sheet for the same period. It was stated in the notice given by assistant director SG Kavitkar that there is a case against Shajan. Details of immovable properties in the name of Shajan and his family members along with details of those sold should be produced. The notice has also asked Shajan to produce audited balance sheets of 10 years of domestic and foreign companies and institutions in which he has a stake. In the notice, the ED asked to detail the type of shareholding and the value in the form of individual shares.
