The value of real estate owned by Greeks broke the “barrier” of 770 billion euros as revealed by the statistics of AADE with the X-ray of ENFIA of 2024. In fact, the objective value of real estate owned by natural and legal persons “inflated” » by 2.5 billion euros compared to 2023.
The AADE data show that 7,159,164 natural and legal persons currently own real estate with a total objective value of 771.9 billion euros, with real estate owners residing in Attica being at the top of the pyramid.
The 2,549,919 taxpayers who live in the basin have in their hands real estate with a total value exceeding 409 billion euros. Regarding the tax bill, the processing of the clearances reveals that 7,159,164 natural and legal persons received an ENFIA clearance and of these 991,860 property owners were exempted from paying ENFIA with a zero clearance.
The tax that 6,167,304 natural and legal persons are required to pay amounted to a total of 2.286 billion euros. A discount to ENFIA of up to 10% was won by 215,171 taxpayers with insured homes for earthquake, fire and flood.

According to the statistical processing of ENFIA’s clearing statements:
- The 2,226,723 property owners (natural persons and businesses) who live in Attica will pay 1.2 billion euros for their real estate, with the value of their properties exceeding 409 billion. euro.
- In the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the 337,700 property owners own real estate worth €23.7 billion and pay €74.77 million in tax
- In the North Aegean Region, the 127,424 property owners have real estate worth 11.34 billion euros and pay tax of 33.3 million euros.
- In the Region of Western Greece, 354,111 taxpayers have properties worth 28.5 billion euros and pay a tax of 83.89 million euros.
- In the Region of Western Macedonia, 160,858 taxpayers own real estate worth 10.16 billion euros and pay a tax of 34.23 million euros.
- In the Region of Epirus, 184,026 property owners own real estate worth 17.5 billion euros for which they pay a tax of 43.7 million euros.
- In the Region of Thessaly, 400,846 taxpayers own real estate worth 33 billion euros and the tax they are required to pay amounts to 96.33 million euros.
- In the Ionian Islands Region, the 139,556 owners of properties worth €16.36 billion pay a tax of €48.63 million.
- In the Region of Central Macedonia, 1,061,286 taxpayers have real estate worth 100.1 billion euros and pay tax of 292.99 million euros.
- In Crete, 364,000 taxpayers with properties worth 41.46 billion euros are burdened with a tax of 122 million euros.
- In the South Aegean, the 176,999 property owners worth 25.62 billion euros pay a tax of 78.84 million euros.
- In the Peloponnese, the 346,765 property owners worth 31.55 billion euros are burdened with a tax of 93.9 million euros.
- In the Region of Central Greece, 287,010 property owners worth 22.99 billion euros pay a tax of 70 million euros.
