Energy resource trading company AS “Virši-A”, which works under the “Virši” brand, has opened a full-service gas filling station in Olaine opposite the already existing “Virši-A” station, according to a statement to the “Nasdaq Riga” stock exchange.
It was previously reported that “Virši-A” is investing six million euros in the construction of a new gas station in Olaine, in the reconstruction of three stations located in Riga and Zīlāni, as well as in the development of two new “Virši-A” franchise stations in Preilii and Krāslava.
“Virši-A” board chairman Jānis Vība states that this will be the 73rd “Virši-A” station, thus continuing the progress towards the company’s strategic goal, which envisages ensuring a network coverage of at least 80 gas stations throughout Latvia by the end of 2024.
The newly opened station in Olaine will work around the clock and provide automatic refueling options, the most popular types of fuel (95 and 98 brand gasoline, diesel), pourable windshield fluid, as well as a wide range of drinks, snacks and auto goods in the nearby “Virši” store.
In the autumn of this year, “Virši-A” started the construction of a full-service gas filling station in Sigulda, where the installation of a “Virši-A” electric car charging point is also planned. The opening is planned for the spring of 2024.
On the other hand, in Sarkandaugava, on Tvaika Street, an energy-efficient station meeting new standards will be opened at the end of November. The opening of another station is also expected in Čiekurkalna this year – at the end of the year, the “Virši-A” station on Viskaļu Street will open its doors to customers.
