Since the start of 2022, gas and electricity prices have risen sharply in France. To support companies affected by this rise in energy prices, the government has put in place various aid schemes.
These aids, as well as their methods of attribution, differ according to the size of the company and the difficulties it encounters.
4 support measures for companies faced with the energy crisis
To help business leaders find their way around, a single telephone number has been set up as part of an “energy aid cell”, from this Monday, January 16, 2023, by the prefecture of Eure- et-Loir and the Public Finance Department. A contact intended to answer all questions of a general nature on the aid systems or relating to the practical procedures for submitting an application.
Local authorities are also supported
A meeting with the various players in the file was organized on Thursday, January 12, at the premises of the prefecture, in Chartres. Françoise Souliman, prefect of Eure-et-Loir, details:
“The government has planned new aid measures to support businesses, but also local authorities. Questions and concerns may arise from businesses, I am thinking in particular of the crafts sector. It was important to explain to the different actors the principle of these new aids and how to obtain them. We therefore received, Thursday morning, all the representatives of the federations and professional banks for a presentation meeting, with also the representatives of the intermunicipalities and the suppliers of energy. A meeting to share the most exhaustive information possible.”
Energy prices: how these small businesses in Eure-et-Loir are coping with the crisis
The establishment of a single telephone number is part of the State’s desire to support the structures concerned.
“This cell will be made up of agents from the Departmental Directorate of Public Finances (DDFIP), the Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor, Solidarity and Population Protection (DDETSPP) and the prefecture. It will be a telephone line active from Monday to Friday. It is a question of answering the various questions.”
Francoise Souliman (Prefect of Eure-et-Loir)
“Build a case”
Support for companies is essential in this context of energy crisis, specifies the departmental director of public finances of Eure-et-Loir, Gradzig El Karoui:
“I am very happy to be able to pool our strengths to make the different schemes known. We are here to support companies or communities in a very concrete way, to put together a file, within the framework of the one-stop shop. Beyond the schemes energy aid, we will support any company that faces difficulties, with potential postponements of tax or social deadlines, for example.
Caroline Perrault, deputy departmental director of DDETSPP of Eure-et-Loir, concludes:
“It is necessary to answer questions, especially from people who do not have the means for large infrastructures, especially VSEs (very small businesses). The unit aims to guide, answer questions and support managers companies that could be overwhelmed by the implementation of the various systems put in place. There are several, precisely, to respond to different situations and types of companies.”
