Energy Community at the LIEGE science park: what news and perspectives?

A year ago, we invited you to give your opinion on the setting up of an Energy Community at the LIEGE science park.

Electrical energy: potential of a CE confirmed ✅

Following this exchange, 28 companies expressed their interest and agreed to provide access to their electricity consumption data, to allow the SPI and the partners of the ZELDA consortium (Zonings à Electricité Durable) to objectify the potential for creating a Energy Community in the Liège science park.

Today, the study has confirmed this potential with regard to electricity!

Thermal energy: feasibility study to be launched 🔜

At the same time, a group of experts, members of companies from the park and the University of Liège, considered going further, in order to also consider the sharing of thermal energy. The specifications and conditions for an additional feasibility study are thus being assessed.

Involvement of future partners expected 👇🏻

At this stage, the setting up of the Energy Community project at the LIEGE science park cannot be done without the contribution of the companies.

Participating in this information session will allow you to find out more about the progress of the work and the commitment expected from future partners, in order to be ready to carry out the project as soon as the execution decrees of the regulatory framework will be enacted.
