Enea immediately resumed her rehabilitation. He returned to Italy, after consulting with the team and medical, Enea wanted to recover his fitness first. He is scheduled again to appear at the Italian MotoGP at the Mugello Circuit in early June.

“I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to participate in the French GP at Le Mans, where I had a fantastic victory last year, but unfortunately, I’m still not fully recovered. After Le Mans, the MotoGP championship will have a three-week break during which I will perform everything I can to recover in time for my home round at Mugello, which is scheduled for June,” Bastianini said in a statement received detikcom, Sunday (7/5/2023).

Ducati then decided to field Danilo Petrucci as Bagnaia’s teammate in France. This racer from Terni has competed with the factory Ducati team in 2019 and 2020, plus he has scored the second victory in his career at the Le Mans Circuit.

“I am happy to be back racing in MotoGP, although I am sorry Enea has to miss another race. At Le Mans with the Desmosedici GP, I won my last race in MotoGP. It is an honor to be able to try racing in MotoGP,” said Petrucci.

“A World Champion bike and wearing a suit I’ve won in the past. It was an indescribable emotion, and I can’t wait to get back on track with the Ducati Lenovo Team. Thanks to Barni for letting me take this opportunity and to Ducati for thinking of me! ” he added.
