Endrick comments on his first call-up to the national team: “I wasn’t expecting it”

At 17 years and three months, Endrick is the youngest player called up to the national team since Ronaldo, in 1994. He scored 11 goals in 47 games (25 as a starter, 22 as a substitute) for Palmeiras in 2023.

– He is a player who has the potential to be one of the great talents. We don’t know if it will be confirmed. It’s not pressure. It’s an award and a future vision of what this kid can be. A boy born in 2006 producing what he produces catches my attention. He is experiencing his best moment, playing against great teams in Brazil, and he manages to stand out – explained Fernando Diniz about Endrick’s call-up.

Brazil faces Colombia on November 16, in Barranquilla. The game against Argentina will be on the 21st, at Maracanã, in Rio de Janeiro.

Palmeiras agreed to sell Endrick to Real Madrid in December last year, for a fixed 35 million euros and 25 million euros in bonuses depending on the player’s performance. He will transfer to the Spanish club in July 2024, after turning 18 years of age.
