In about a year and a half, it will become clear how big the coup Real Madrid managed with the signing of Endrick actually is. Brazil’s youth leader raves about the young jewel and sees great potential in him.
Brazilian Branco leaves no doubt Endrick has a bright future at Real Madrid. In any case, the 1994 world champion knows what he is talking about. After all, Branco is active in Endrick’s native country as the association’s youth director.
“He could become a world star like Vinicius or Rodrygo are now, or even like Neymar when he left Santos or Ronaldo when he left Cruzeiro,” Branco told AS about Endrick.
In mid-December, Real Madrid officially announced Endrick’s signing. Due to the regulations, the 16-year-old can only switch to Concha Espina when he is of legal age. Endrick is therefore playing on loan for his regular club Palmeiras until the summer of 2024.
Branco describes Endrick as an “extraordinary” player, “a pure goalscorer with a lot of class”. There is also a comparison with the former world-class striker Romario. “He’s a very similar guy to O Baixinho. Endrick has many virtues to be successful in football.”
