Endingen-Amoltern: Malteser branch “Nördlicher Breisgau” founded in Endingen-Amoltern – The rural population in particular is to be strengthened with socio-medical services

On Friday, May 27, 2022, the Malteser have gathered in the pilgrimage church of St. Martin in Endingen to celebrate with a deacon Dr. Joachim Kittel, to open the founding event of the “Northern Breisgau” branch together and to ask God’s blessing for the upcoming tasks. During the service, the voluntary helpers received a guardian angel carved out of wood from the Freiburg diocesan leader, Mr. Freiherr von und zu Mentzingen. This was followed by a reception in the community center of the Endingen district of Amoltern. The local representative Dr. Jürgen Schöchlin explained: “We deliberately chose Amoltern as the location of our founding assembly, as a representative of our concern to strengthen the rural population in particular with our socio-medical services.”

First, the guests in Amoltern were welcomed with an excellent champagne and ice cream surprise. After the welcome by the mayor Andreas Ganter, the presentation of the new local children and youth hospice service as well as the on-site helper service (first aid service in medical emergencies) by the local representative Dr. Jürgen Schöchlin, the diocesan leader Dominicus Freiherr von und zu Mentzingen appointed the volunteers to their posts and sent them with best wishes for their upcoming challenges. The eventful evening ended in a relaxed atmosphere with around 50 guests getting together and being entertained with small delicacies.
Many thanks to the volunteers for their motivation and commitment to helping people in northern Breisgau in their emergency situations.
