Ender’s Game
Damn those who did not know how to see the wonder that it was. It is not strange to see how a project is born with the ambition of launching a successful saga, only to end up in the cemetery of forgotten film projects. A pity, because it is not always a matter of justice. And Ender’s Game is probably one of the best examples of this.
It was the year 2013 when the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s work was planted in our lives. A really interesting science fiction story. Seventy years after a war between humans and aliens, a boy is sent to a military space school in order to prepare him for a future invasion. The argument, most suggestive. But it didn’t fall at the right time.
Critics were merciless towards Ender’s Game and the public followed along. A complete cinematic failure, but one that time has put in its place. Because it must be recognized that the film adaptation of the novel was very top. Not to mention the great cast led by Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis and Ben Kingsley. Lots of fabric.
A decade has had to pass for the recognition of Ender’s Game to be adequate. In addition, the film has been becoming a smash hit on home platforms. Unfortunately, it will not be enough for us to find continuity in a saga that was unjustly taken from us. Don’t say it doesn’t make you angry!
