The Endeavor organization, a leading player in the field of impact entrepreneurship, was founded in 1997 with the mission of catalyzing long-neglected entrepreneurial ecosystems. By identifying and supporting high-potential entrepreneurs, Endeavor seeks to accelerate economic growth and create inspiring models in emerging markets.
To date, the organization has expanded its network to over 30 countries, contributing to the entrepreneurial landscape through its support of over 1,000 entrepreneurs worldwide. In Morocco, the organization has been present for several years and recently acquired a new President with a keen entrepreneurial profile, Ilan Benhaim, a native of the country, co-founder of Veepee among others, and full-time business angel.
A few weeks before the Gitex Africa high mass in Marrakech and in a context where Morocco’s interest in startups is growing, from new provisions to support investment through the creation and deployment of the FM6I , Endeavor Morocco organized its “Local Selection Panel” in Casablanca in the premises of the Centrale school. The Local Selection Panel, a key event of the organization, aims to select companies to represent Morocco at Endeavor’s International Selection Panels which will be held in Nairobi, Dublin, and Miami this year.
After intense competition and a very rigorous selection process, three Moroccan startups stood out thanks in particular to the commitment of the entrepreneurs behind them. Asmaa Chakir Alaoui from VelyVelo, Youssef Mamou and Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti from YolaFresh, and Yassine Tahi from Kinetix convinced a jury composed of Egyptian Endeavor entrepreneurs and Moroccan managers with seasoned profiles who assessed their growth potential, their commercial strategy, and their leadership qualities.
