Enda Tamweel today announced the lowering of its prices. It therefore remains the most competitive player on the market and the one offering the best pricing.
Enda Tamweel could already claim to practice the cheapest pricing on the microfinance market. It will take a new step. This will allow all micro-entrepreneurs to expand their financing and investment capacities by borrowing at low rates.
The drop in prices comes in a difficult economic context marked by the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic, galloping inflation and a constant decline in purchasing power. This decrease reaffirms Enda Tamweel’s desire to always be as close as possible to its customers to meet their needs and support them over time.
The reduction in prices also reflects Enda Tamweel’s social vocation, its raison d’être and its original promise of being at the service of financial and social inclusion for 30 years.
Promote broader financial inclusion
“Today, and despite the presence of six other micro-credit financing institutions in Tunisia, the unserved market remains large and represents more than a million people living in poverty and financial exclusion. Thanks to our lower pricing, we are expanding our inclusive funding programs. We encourage micro and small businesses to grow and develop. Enda Tamweel is recognized for its leadership and expertise. It aims to promote broader financial inclusion. I think it is our duty and our responsibility, as a central actor in economic and social development, to work more to support marginalized populations ”. This is what Mohamed Zmandar, Managing Director of Enda Tamweel, said.
Preserve the sustainability of projects
In the aftermath of the unprecedented health crisis, which has hit our society and its major impact on the most vulnerable, Enda Tamweel has launched a massive response. It has put in place unprecedented measures to help its clients and enable them to preserve the sustainability of their projects.
This response resulted, first of all, in diversified restructuring solutions adapted to the situation and the needs of each client.
It was subsequently reinforced by the refinancing of essential activities hit hard by the health crisis.
Thus, during the confinement established between March and May 2020, Enda Tamweel invested an amount of 16 million dinars in refinancing. As well as 588 million outstanding, with regard to the deferral of payment of installments.
Enda Tamweel has, moreover, granted a free deferral for the most deprived for an amount of 1.2 million dinars.
Enda Tamweel has also set up an exceptional “Sanad” loan to support the populations most affected by the crisis. It made a contribution of 70,000 dinars within the framework of the Yed-Yed initiative, launched by the non-governmental organization Inter-arabic enda with civil society actors. And this, in support of the national effort to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over 3.6 million loans
Enda Tamweel acts primarily for the emancipation of individuals. Especially women and young people, by encouraging self-entrepreneurship and self-employment.
It currently serves more than 400,000 active customers with outstanding loans exceeding 950 million dinars. And this, through its network of 102 branches and five mobile counters, spread over all the governorates of the country.
Enda Tamweel granted nearly 400,000 loans between 2020 and 2021. It has invested an amount of 1,250 million dinars.
As a reminder, since its creation, Enda has served nearly a million people. It has granted more than 3.6 million loans for an amount exceeding 5,800 million dinars.
