A resurgence of the epidemic
Saturday March 12, Remi Solomon, chairman of the establishment committeeAP-HP (Paris Hospitals) urged the French to take “precautions” while “the coronavirus is still circulating (even more for a few days)”.
In Seine-Saint-Denis, as of March 10, the incidence rate is 237 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants. On March 4, it was 211. A slight increase as the incidence rate had been declining since the peak of the fifth wave when it reached the 4,390 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on January 8, 2022.
In May 2021, the government set the alert threshold at 400 cases of Covid per 100,000 people in one week. A threshold from which the government could activate “emergency health brakes” if it was correlated with a threat of saturation in intensive care units. However, the hospital tension in Seine-Saint-Denis is “only” 38%.
