Adil Rami’s adventure in Russia did not last long. After an experience in Turkey on the side of Fenerbahce, the French defender had indeed decided to continue his career in Sochi last February. Unfortunately, the situation between the 34-year-old and the Russian club quickly deteriorated. Earlier today, we revealed that Sochi was in the midst of thinking about ending the Frenchman’s contract.

RMC Sport indeed obtained the press release from the lawyer of the principal concerned, Jules Plancque, where it is explained that Sochi “decided to respect none of its commitments”. Adil Rami, who also claims that he was never paid, is therefore free as the air. “The player now finds himself released from any commitment, with an intact will to continue his career as a professional football player,” said the lawyer. The native of Bastia is therefore looking for a new challenge.
