After a strike of more than two months, an agreement to end the conflict was signed this Wednesday between the Departmental House for Disabled Persons of Mayotte and its agents.
After two hours of discussions, a memorandum of understanding was developed and signed by the two parties, namely the departmental council and staff representatives of MDPH Mayotte. A consensus was found on around fifteen demands, examined point by point, relating to the following areas:
- Respect for the authorities and their functioning within the MDPH
- Securing documents
- Respect for the status of agents and their stabilization at their workstation
- Implementation of the SEGUR bonus for agents
Although the memorandum of understanding has been signed, the discussions will continue. The president committed to remaining available and maintaining regular dialogue with all MDPH representatives in order to improve their working conditions.
The different parties will work together in a process of work and trust

And finally, the department says it is open to all discussions and exchanges with volunteer staff who want to advance the MDPH.
On the union side, an agreement remains an agreement.
Today, there is no satisfaction, the main thing is dialogue, explains Siti GUE, president of the department’s inter-union association.
