End of Senkveld after 20 years

– There have been many pillars in TV 2’s broadcast schedule throughout the channel’s history. Senkveld has been one of the biggest, says program editor Kathrine Haldorsen in TV 2 in a press release.

But now it is the end of the TV 2 talk show, and the last program will be broadcast on Friday 21 May.

In February it became known that this would be Stian Blipp’s last season of Senkveld, but at that time it was not clear what happened to the talk show next.

Several duos

Senkveld premiered on TV 2 in 2001 with Tommy Steine and HC Andersen as presenters.

From 2003 until 2018, the program was led by Harald Rønneberg and Thomas Numme, before Helene Olafsen and Stian Blipp took over and have led Senkveld until now.

Renews

TV 2’s program editor says that the channel will prioritize differently in the time to come.

– All good things come to an end. This also applies to Senkveld, which has given us two decades of good experiences. The program has meant a lot to viewers and done an enormous job for TV 2, says Haldorsen.

– Now we are moving towards new times and must look ahead. We must renew ourselves and TV 2 must therefore prioritize differently. When we now choose to thank one of TV 2’s most important program series in the last 20 years, we stop while the program is still a success.

There are now six programs left from the last Senkveld season.

– When Thomas and Harald left, everyone wanted to be guests. Now we move on to the very last six broadcasts in Senkveld’s history. We promise viewers some fantastic programs towards the grand finale. Late night is guaranteed to go to the top, says Haldorsen.

Watch Senkveld Fridays on TV 2 and TV 2 Sumo.
