M Aldi Royya’s Runaway (18), the fugitive from the attack on Aiptu Suwardi in Cilandak, South Jakarta, has ended. Even a week after his escape, Aldi arrested by the police.
Aldi was arrested by a joint team of Sub Directorate of Jatanras, Ditreskrimum, Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Metro South Jakarta, under the leadership of AKBP Jerry R Siagian and Kompol Achmad Akbar. Aldi was arrested at his hiding place in Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta on Thursday (15/7) night.
“He was arrested (Sub-directorate) Jatanras last night,” said Director of General Crime Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat when contacted, Friday (16/7/2021).
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Achmad Akbar, explained that Aldi already knew he would be wanted by the police after the attack on Aiptu Suwardi. He then hid from the police.
“He knew after the dawn incident happened and we investigated in the afternoon and in the afternoon he already knew that we were wanted,” said Akbar at the South Jakarta Police, Jl Wijaya I, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Friday (16/7/2021).
But, as the saying goes ‘the smarter a squirrel jumps, the more it will fall’. Finally, Aldi arrested the police while hiding at his relative’s house.
“In the process last night, the homeowner-where he was hiding-was still under our inspection,” he said.
Aldi Main Actors
Akbar says Aldi is the main actor in the action beating that. He was also the organizer of the wild race on Jl TB Simatupang, Cilandak, South Jakarta on Thursday (8/7) early this morning.
“Currently, we conclude that he is the main perpetrator in the context of the beating of members of the Police and the implementation of illegal street racing,” he said.
