Now came the next blow for every German rap listener. Sun Diego, the next exceptional talent, announced that he wanted to withdraw from the rap scene. The man from Osnabrück announced this two days ago in the form of a three-part statement. He also cited the negative response from the community as the reason for this.
Sun Diego announces retirement
“A career that has lasted for years must now come to an end. What is currently going around around me is simply not cool. I still get DMs with insults to this day: ‘You dirty Jew, you son of a b*tch’… mother, father, aunt, uncle, sister, anything you want… I am being threatened. From all sides, from all corners. (…) It is not easy, but I simply do not see the point in it anymore.”
The fact that his retirement is authentic and not just a promotional move – a move that has unfortunately been used by a number of rappers – is also evident in the nature of his statement. Before ending his career, Sunny also spoke out about some things that he has not had the opportunity to do before.
Among other things, he made a statement about his beef with Pa Sports. He also said a few words about Rooz and sincerely apologized for his misconduct. The Osnabrück native admits that he did Rooz an injustice and now thanks him for his support.
