OPSM started in the UK in 1996 and lasted for 25 years. The change came in May 2021, when the publisher, Future Publishing, replaced Play. This was just a name change, as the editors remained unchanged, and all that happened was that the official Sony brand was removed from the newspaper. The calculation was restarted with the name change, but it was more or less a spiritual continuation of OPSM, which is therefore approx. it ran for three and a half, a total of 29 years, before the game ended.
