After more than twenty years, it seems that the stay of Jesse Lingard Bee Manchester United. The 28-year-old midfielder is said to have rejected a new contract from The Mancunians.
This is reported by various English media, including the BBC. Lingard has an expiring contract at Old Trafford but does not appear to be planning to renew it. This would end Lingard’s time at United after more than twenty years.
Lingard played on loan at West Ham United from January last season and made an excellent impression there. This season, however, he is again hardly in the plans of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United wanted to extend his contract, but at a lower salary. Lingard then stopped the talks.
The agent of Lingard is said to have already spoken with FC Barcelona and AC Milan, who see an interesting player in the almost transfer-free Lingard. A departure on a rental basis in January seems the most obvious.
