A lot has changed in Microsoft’s Xbox division after the very poor launch of the Xbox One, but some have gotten through it all. Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, senior director of corporate communications at Xbox, is probably the most famous one, so today truly marks the end of an era.
Larry Hryb Announce , he is leaving Microsoft and Xbox after 20 years at the company. The reason for this was apparently just that he wanted to “work hard on the next chapter of his career”. That doesn’t sound like it means going to another gaming company or anything like that, as Hryb continued his statement, thanking all the gamers who have listened to his podcasts over the years and generally included him in their lives. We’ll see where his future lies after some well-deserved vacations with his family.
It’s hilarious, “Major Nelson”. Enjoy your time off and I look forward to hearing what you’ll do next.
