Quake in the “Tatort” universe!
Since 1991, Miroslav Nemec (69) and Udo Wachtveitl (65) have been investigating Batic and Leitmayr as Munich “crime scene” investigators in 93 cases. The 94th episode of “The Prodigy” will air in early February.
But now it’s official what we’re talking about. BILD had already speculated: the 100th case is finally closed. The popular investigators will film five more episodes (one more is already in the can) and then hand in their service weapons.

In addition to the Munich commissioners, only the Munich commissioners Ulrike Folkerts (62) as “Lena Odenthal” and Klaus J. Behrendt (63) and Dietmar Bär (62) as “Max Ballauf” and “Freddy Schenk” are investigating in a similar length.

Curious: The popularity of Batic and Leitmayr has actually grown over the decades. Her last case “Queens” with top actress Veronica Ferres (58) as a guest star gave the “ Tatort” last October with 8.94 million viewers, the highest ratings of the series since March 2023.
According to BILD information, the “Batic and Leitmayr” finale will be broadcast in the “Tatort” season 2025/2026. It was clear to everyone involved for a long time that Nemec and Wachtveitl – both around 70 – would eventually become too old for their roles. Therefore, we should not engage in an argument, but rather in gratitude and agreement.
