The defense of internship reports for trainees in the senior circle of technicians at the National Agricultural Training School (ENAFA) of Matourkou began on Monday, November 11, 2024 within that center. This session is scheduled for three days, November 11, 12 and 13.
A total of 180 trainees are divided into 13 juries, to present their end of internship report with a view to obtaining the Higher Technician Certificate (BTS), agronomy option at ENAFA in Matourkou. This level is the result of their two-year training. They were initially entitled to theoretical training for a year and a half within ENAFA. After that, they completed a 4-month field internship and at the end of that time they each wrote a report that they will defend before a jury of at least 3 members during the defense session from November 11 to 13, 2024 “The candidate has 15 minutes to present his document, the jury members have 30 minutes to talk to the candidate and the discussion takes 15 minutes,” explained Babo Boniface. Bakouan, Director of the initial training and school at ENAFA Matourkou them over,” he said.
The members of the juries are mainly teacher researchers, researchers from the Nazi University of Boni (UNB), INERA / Farakoba as well as other research structures that support ENAFA Matourkou. Dr. Drissa Cissé, the Secretary General, on behalf of the Director General of ENAFA, expressed his gratitude for these partnership structures as well as those who welcomed the trainees for the practical level.
Quality as a leitmotif
These protections are very important in the eyes of those responsible for ENAFA Matourkou, with the theoretical level being one fact and the practical level being another. Defending your work in front of a jury “The trainer brings someone mature enough in their field. It is also a diploma that they receive at the end of these defenses that allows them to continue their academic career. This is very important, a document written and defended in front of a jury composed mostly of teacher researchers, researchers, gives more value to the diploma received. This helps to ensure that the products we offer to the State and the private sector are of quality. This is the quality we are looking for at ENAFA Matourkou,” says Dr. Drissa Cissé.
To promote the research results of the trainees, ENAFA has a library that takes advantage of all these documents. “We are currently digitizing all quality documents to make them available to the national and international scientific community and anyone interested in the results of our trainees,” said SG the ENAFA Matourkou, Dr. Cissé.
