Bastianini’s party and Aprilia’s headaches
Ena Bastianini came from third position and after taking the lead in the race, she never let go, achieving her first triumph in 2023 at this Malaysian GP.
Alex Márquez settled in third place and, further back, Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin still fought for a few laps for the last place on the podium, but the World Champion ended up coming out on top. The distance between the four in front increased and the last laps were worthy of a huge yawn. Not even before were things lively…
Miguel Oliveira and RNR Aprilia had another weekend to forget. The Portuguese driver suffered a crash, a few laps later Raul Fernández also had to abandon, with technical problems. Aleix Espargaró also crashed and Maverick Viñales’ Aprilia was the only one to see the checkered flag.
