■ Some details on the sectors taking over the activity

As of Monday, several business sectors reopen after six weeks of closure. This first step concerns DIY stores, garden centers, hairdressers, medical offices, veterinarians, beauty salons and tattoo artists. The ATS agency draws up some details in these branches, resulting from sectoral protection plans dear to the Federal Council.

DIY activities. Like grocery stores, DIY stores and garden centers rely on the entry of customers in a dropper, respecting distances and paying by card. The boxes will be protected by a plexiglass window.

Dentists. At the dentist’s, the already very strict hygiene measures are reinforced. Attention will be paid to people at risk and the space reorganized in the waiting room.

The physios. For physiotherapists, their Physioswiss association advise them wearing a mask. Customers should do the same, but only if they are part of a risk group.

Veterinarians. If it is necessary to bring your pet to the veterinarian, it will be necessary to put it outside the office or the clinic, and to recover it at the exit.

The tattoo artists. The Swiss Association of Professional Tattoo Artists (ASTP) asks its members to wear a mask type FFP2, which protects both the wearer and the person in front. The client should also have one or at least a surgical mask.

The hairdressers. Hairdressers will reopen in two stages. At first, half of the places will be available to guarantee a distance of at least two meters between employees. The full reopening will follow later. People at risk are excluded from the first phase. Both the hairdresser and the client must wear a protective mask. For facial treatment, shaving or beard trimming, the hairdresser must also wear a plexiglass visor. Coiffuresuisse recommends also that the staff is provided with disposable gloves and that each client receives a new cape, disposable or washable.

For the Keystone agency, photographer Urs Flueeler followed an exercise session in a salon in the canton of Nidwalden on Sunday.
