The delay in lighting (30 minutes for safety reasons) did not dampen their good mood. Setting out for a good cause, 648 runners crossed the finish line of En Baskets contre le diabetes on the Place des Épars, in Chartres, this Saturday, November 18.
Barrouillet victorious for… a second
And the first to reach it was Émilien Cabart, who switched from cycling to running this year (winner in 23’22 of the 7 km). The former member of ES Auneau signed the double, ahead of his Oxygène 28 partner Jonathan Teyssedre. By a hair, Margaux Barrouillet won among the women, leaving her runner-up, the youngest Zoé Barbe (ES Jouy-Saint-Prest), a small second away, in 29’37.
In the long format (10 km), Valentin Thirouard was quicker than Maxence Duvallet (Herbauges athlé 44) and his friend Michaël Dehoul (Oxygène 28). The Bonnevalais leaves the competition almost a minute behind (24’53 against 25’48).
Among the ladies, it was the experienced Véronique d’Hallain who won (master 1), in 44’15.
