Empty chair becomes a hit: Snoop Dogg leaves the Twitch stream angrily

After the rapper was dumped 20-0 by his Madden NFL 21 opponent before half time, he freaked out and left the live stream. His fans celebrated the move and broke his attendance record.

After a global pandemic broke out and various musicians and bands, athletes and other celebrities could no longer go to events, on tours or other events, they picked up a new hobby. Football superstar Neymar, for example, plays a game of Counter-Strike on Twitch every week and lets his fans watch it via live stream.

And Snoop Dogg also got an account on the platform in mid-2020 and played a few rounds of Madden NFL 21 with unknown gamblers on various weekends. But his audience was never really impressed, so that normally only around 400 people looked in at the same time. On Sunday, February 28th, 2021 everything was different: While Snoop wanted to play the game Madden NFL 21 against a stranger on Xbox, he was already played in the first half with a 20-0 against the wall and was able to do so cannot cope with defeat. Annoyed, the 49-year-old hit his desk more often before cursing, going to bed and angrily turning off his Xbox. In keeping with this, he left the room with his joint and left the light on and everything while his Twitch stream was still on …

The rapper had not switched off the live broadcast within the next seven hours and so his empty chair became a hit online. Over 4,000 fans clicked in, sent themselves various memes, listened to the copyrighted music that Snoop was listening to before, and waited for their superstar to come back again. But not much had happened in the end:

After seven hours, the “doggystyle” interpreter was back in the room and simply switched off his stream. With over 100,000 fans, who in the meantime came back to his Twitch profile and enjoyed the funk and soul classics, this was a complete success.
