Empreza de Todos Implements Awareness Campaigns for Students on Proper Use of Social Networks

• Once the mid-year holidays are over, awareness campaigns will be implemented for the students of the municipality on the proper use of social networks.

The Empresa de Todos Administration through the Ministry of Education activated the different service routes for the students of the municipality in order to avoid confrontations between them, due to the events that occurred on the outskirts of the Enrique Millán Rubio educational institution in the Frailes sector, where a minor was injured.

In this regard, the Secretary of Education of Dosquebradas, Leonardo Fabio Granada, said that “Unfortunately, a situation arose involving a fight between a student from the Enrique Millán Rubio educational institution, who was involved in a dispute with another girl from outside the educational institution. It is important to clarify that the fight did not take place inside the institution’s facilities or during school hours. This girl was injured in the neck for which the Police for Children and Adolescents intervened and transferred the injured girl to a care center and took the alleged aggressor to the respective establishment to start the police procedure.

The head of that unit stressed that the accompaniment of the minor and her family is a priority “The educational institution activated the alerts and care routes to monitor the girl and her mother, in the same way promotion and prevention actions were activated for this injured girl and other minors in the municipality. We know that it is through the misuse of social networks that they are cited for these confrontations; After the return to school for the mid-year vacation, there will be some days to raise awareness of the proper use of social networks as one of the measures that we are implementing to avoid unfortunate situations like these”.
