In the Harlem district of New York, in the United States, an association helps African-American women by offering a school combining figure skating and evening classes. The academic and university results are spectacular.

A major documentary series in 2025
The idea was born in the early 90s in the mind of Sharon Cohen, a former champion. This involves offering young women from the working-class neighborhood of Harlem a school combining figure skating and evening classes. An idea since supported by former First Lady Michelle Obama. “Skating is our bait, but it’s education that counts first, and it works”, says Sharon Cohen. With its support program, the school displays spectacular academic and academic results. A philosophy which has attracted the attention of a famous streaming platform, which will dedicate a major documentary series to it in 2025.
