The MTEFoP announced yesterday that the processing of professional migrant files within its institution is now limited to one day.

THE quest for the best working conditions is abroad for some people. In order to facilitate the professional migration of workers, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Public Service (MTEFoP) announced yesterday that the processing time for files is now reduced to a single day. Knowing that candidates for work abroad must follow administrative procedures with other processes to be able to leave. The MTEFoP is not the only entity through which professional migration files pass. Among them, there is also the Ministry of Public Security as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On this subject, Felasoa Razafimahefa, head of the Professional Migration Department at MTEFoP, specified that the institution ensures that users can leave on the same day as they submit their files. However, checks will be carried out to ensure complete and adequate processing of the documents. This initiative aims to speed up access to the various stages before the actual departure.

Mandatory step

“My files were processed in a single day. I received the necessary authorizations the same day to pass the morality checks within the Ministry of Public Security,” testifies a worker selected to go to Japan. According to available information, the presidential project to send Malagasy workers to Japan is currently underway. An authorized source from the ministry confirmed that the files of the candidates selected for this project have started to arrive at the ministry in recent days.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Civil Service stressed that going through legal channels is essential for those who wish to go abroad. Thus, following all the procedures is a mandatory step. Professional migration files must first be examined by the Ministry of Public Security (MSP) for the morality investigation to which each candidate is subjected. Then, candidates must report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the complete files approved by the MTEFoP and the MSP, in order to register on the diaspora list in their countries. respective reception areas.
