He explained that this will happen if the compensations are not voted on, since the price of electricity is the main cause of inflation.
“If our proposals are not accepted, inflation will double. This means shrinking production, holding down wages, and because of inflation, savings will melt away.” From there – and the impoverishment of the people, added Velev.
After the compensation, BGN 1 billion will remain in the state energy sector, or 5 times more money, commented the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AIKB. “There is enough money if it is not stolen”, he is categorical. According to him, this is money from the budget, and from money made by the company, and part of it should be returned as compensation, as they do in other EU countries.
Velev explained the unpredictability in which the enterprises are currently operating, and especially after the deputies from the relevant committee rejected the business’s proposal to continue the compensations from July 1: “Until today there are compensations, from tomorrow we have no predictability. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow our price is BGN 700 or BGN 250.”
If prices jump 4 times from tomorrow, many businesses will stop working, he added.
