An audit carried out between 2022 and 2023 at the construction materials sales company PLYCEM, located in Llopango, revealed that a group of employees had paid themselves unauthorized bonuses and improper overtime, despite there being clear guidelines for such compensation.
This action damaged the company financially and financially for a total amount of $675,595.32.
Among the accused are Maritza Elizabeth M. de G., financial director, Patricia Guadalupe H., administrator, who had the authority to approve the payments, as well as other accounting and administrative officers: Fredy Alejandro GV, Fredy César D., Jonathan Isau GA, Walter Manuel AM, and Gerardo René A.
In the initial hearing, the Llopango Peace Court resolved that the process continue in Pre-trial proceedings for all those prosecuted, with the precautionary measure of provisional detention for three of them and, for the others, it established a financial bond between $2,000 and $5,000, together with alternative measures to detention.
