Employees Thrive and Embrace the Four-Day Workweek Experiment

Same story on the employee side, who also appear (very) satisfied with this experiment. No less than 95% of them would now like to continue at this pace of work. More than two-thirds (69%) say less burnout. It must be recognized that the four-day week seems particularly beneficial in terms of welfare.

Two in five program participants also report feeling less stressed.

More surprisingly, more than four in ten people (42%) say they have been more invested in the plan environmentalwhether in terms of recycling or mobility, with workers generally favoring walking or cycling rather than the car.

“Before our trial, dedicated employees were struggling with burnout. Turnover was increasing due to intense workload, meeting overload and inefficient procedures. The four-day week prompted us to challenge our status quo and implement important productivity improvements. Today we are reaping the rewards. Our turnover rate fell to an all-time high, productivity levels remained constant and customers didn’t notice that we had adopted the four-day week.“says Jenise Uehara, managing director of Search Engine Journal, which participated in the pilot program.
