The strike took place at seven airports in Germany, including Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg. For information, Lufthansa is one of the largest airlines in Europe. In its statement, Lufthansa stopped its operations in Frankfurt and Munich on Friday.

The disruption came just two days after a company-wide IT outage that led to a string of flight cancellations and delays. As a result, thousands of passengers were stranded at the airport on Wednesday.
