Employees get time off – to play Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter is a role-playing game series with fantasy themes developed by Capcom that has been revered by Japanese fans from the first game for Playstation 2. Although it took until the fifth edition Monster Hunter: World before the rest of the world hooked on, it is Capcom’s best-selling game series of all time.

The new Monster Hunter: Rise to Switch is now being launched, and to enjoy the sixth part of the game series, several employees of the Japanese company Mark-on wanted some time off. When CEO Masaki Hiyama found out, he therefore decided to announce “MonHunDay”, and give all employees a well-deserved gaming holiday.

In an email that Hiyama sent out to his employees about the holiday, he wrote, among other things, that “since we can not be expected to focus on our work, I make this day a Monhun holiday”. The increase must have been much appreciated by the staff, who happy and grateful now have to spend the whole weekend sharpening their skills in monster hunting.

For those who want their own MonHunDay, the game for the Nintendo Switch is available from Friday 26 March, but can also be pre-booked now. It is also expected to come to PC, but not until next year.
