Employees gave better players to gamers for a fee

The video game FIFA is now more than ever about online game modes. In Ultimate Team, one of those game modes, players can create a team on their own using football player cards. One way to get players and tickets is to buy packs containing random players. You can buy them with coins that you earn in the game, but also with FIFA points that you purchase with real money.

Since it is very difficult and takes a lot of luck to get good players through those packs, many players buy FIFA Points in the hope of getting good players. This was made impossible in Belgium because the games of chance commission restricted the practices of EA Sports. It ruled that buying packages and not knowing what you get is too much like gambling and since the game is also played by millions of children, it was decided to make buying FIFA points impossible.

In many other countries, the earnings model of Ultimate Team also on the slope. EA Sports also made a case by claiming that it is the only way to get good players, but it now turns out not to be. Because some employees apparently got paid to provide certain gamers with extra good players.

The deal starts at € 1,000 and continues up to € 1,700. You can include Icons buy with it like the Brazilian Ronaldo or extremely good tickets from Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo. EA has responded with a statement but has not taken any further action. Although this affair does put them in a tight spot.

The bad thing is, there’s tonnes of proof, and it all looks very consistent.
