Employees at Séché Company Demand Attention and Action Amidst Declining Working Conditions and Managerial Resignations

They want their superiors to “listen” and “consider” them. Since October 16, nine employees of the Séché company, out of the dozen operational on the Cadarache and Iter sites, have been on strike. This subcontracting company takes care of activities previously carried out by Veolia Water and resumed in February and March 2023, in particular the treatment of industrial water, wastewater, distribution of drinking water and its storage. “And since then we have been sinking to the bottom,” notes Laurent Visconti, maintenance technician at Séché, unionized with the CGT and on strike for almost ten days. Working conditions are deteriorating. Our managers are resigning one after the other. We are delivered to ourselves: there is a dysfunction. This is what we reacted against.
