As part of its large-scale cost savings, Apple has just suspended employee bonus payouts.
This is news that will not please the employees of the apple brand. Indeed, given the current economic situation, the Cupertino company is continuing its large-scale savings plan. Latest victim of this plan, employees who will not be granted a bonus before October.
On top of that, Apple continues to freeze all hiring in different areas of the business. Tim Cook’s strategy is to leave vacancies as employees leave the company in order to reduce the workforce.
We’ll have to wait until October
They are our colleagues from Bloomberg which reports that the company has decided to postpone employee promotions and bonus payouts. Originally scheduled for April and October, Apple has now decided to switch to one payment per year and it will be in October. The moment dedicated to employees in April therefore falls by the wayside.
This postponement of payment will allow the apple brand to continue to save money. Unfortunately, these are to the detriment of employees.
Remember, however, that, to another extent, Tim Cook has also decided to reduce his salary in 2023. He should receive “only” 49 million dollars in 2023.
