Bengaluru: The police have arrested an employee of Malabar Gold and Diamonds who stole around one and a half crore rupees. Arjun Sathyan (36), a native of Erumeli Edakadty, was arrested at Vakkedath House. Arjun was Assistant General Manager in Visual Merchandising Department at Malabar Gold and Diamonds Corporate Office.
Arjun had committed financial irregularities in the organization for the last five years. This was discovered by the audit department in the month of July. Bengaluru police arrested the accused from Kozhikode on Wednesday following a complaint filed by the company. The accused was remanded for 14 days and handed over to the police for questioning.
