“Emotional Visit to Truong Sa: Generous Gifts and Deep Affection from Party’s Internal Affairs Sector”

(VOVWORLD) – In April, a delegation made up of 85 cadres and employees of the Vietnamese Communist Party’s internal affairs sector paid a visit to some islands attached to the Truong Sa (Spratlys) archipelago and the DK1 platform, where they generously presented gifts to soldiers and islanders. This visit was marked by deep affection and left behind wonderful memories.

The visit of cadres and employees of the Party’s internal affairs sector to the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 platform is marked by warm smiles. The delegation had the opportunity to visit the islands of Song Tu Tây, Da Dông A, Sinh Tôn, Truong Sa. They met and offered gifts to children, soldiers, lighthouse staff and monks living on these islands. In addition, the delegation organized various activities for them.

Among the gifts offered, there is in particular a book signed by the General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Nguyên Phu Trong, accompanied by an encouraging dedication. This book, titled “Show energy and perseverance in the fight against corruption and unsound practices to clean up and strengthen our Party and State“, undoubtedly represents a spiritual gift of inestimable value.

In addition, other practical gifts worth more than 4.3 billion VND, or more than $183 million, were given to soldiers and islanders. Among these gifts were medical equipment, water purifiers, televisions, ventilators, daily necessities as well as culinary specialties from certain regions of Vietnam, among others. Truong Diêp Hung, who lives on the island of Sinh Tôn, was deeply moved by this generosity.

“We are deeply touched by the beautiful feelings the delegation has shown us through these meaningful gifts. We are committed to protecting the maritime and island sovereignty of our Homeland. This visit not only brings emotions to the locals and soldiers serving on the islands, but also to each member of the delegation, including Nguyen Thai Hoc, vice chairman of the Party’s Central Internal Affairs Commission.
