During the traditional galette at the Élysée, the President of the Republic reaffirmed his promise of “massive simplification” for “all economic sectors” in order to achieve the objective of full employment. Emmanuel Macron wishes to “rediscover a little of the philosophy” of his own law of 2015, which already had the objective of “liberating the economy”.
Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed Friday, during the traditional galette at the Élysée, his promise of “massive simplification” for “all economic sectors”, including for “rules in the world of work” in order to keep the goal of full employment.
A law of massive simplification and acceleration to free the economy”
“We are going to launch, following the end-of-year consultation, massive simplification work for all economic sectors, in particular artisans, traders and the agricultural world,” said the Head of State during the traditional epiphany cake at the Élysée, in the presence of many bakers. He added that he had “asked the government” for “a law of massive simplification and acceleration” to “rediscover a little of the philosophy” of his own Macron law of 2015 which already had the objective of “liberating the economy”.
He explained that he wanted to “shorten the deadlines” but also “reverse the burden of proof”: instead of searching “through the maquis of the laws, what is not prohibited”, “saying that everything which is not is not explicitly prohibited becomes authorized. “We need a France of ‘doers'”, further pleaded the President of the Republic.
Same objective for this first semester in the field of employment: “to have a second set of simplification of the rules in the world of work to also facilitate the creation of jobs in all sectors”. “The battle for full employment throughout our territory, as you have understood, is an essential axis”, underlined Emmanuel Macron, while his flagship promise of the second five-year term is confronted with a coughing unemployment curve.
