The call for this gesture of protest had been shared on social networks before the match, in particular by the deputy of rebellious France François Ruffin, who wanted to see “whistle(ed) the Macron retirement”. The protests nevertheless remained very partial, although audible. According to AFP, they were only taken up by fans from the stand where the group of official supporters of the Blues gather, the “Irresistible French”.
